Featuring a convenient removable panel at the back, the Astro Nesting Box ensures effortless cleaning. It comes equipped with two galvanized plates for easy installation. Designed by Sammy Holman and meticulously constructed in Staffordshire, UK, this particular box is crafted from locally sourced Larch wood—a naturally water-repellent material that develops a beautiful weathered patina over time.

Rest assured, the Astro Nesting Box is built to withstand the test of time. Its dimensions measure 150mm (W) x 188mm (D) x 250mm (H), weighing approximately 1.5 kg. The wood used in its construction is responsibly sourced from an FSC-certified supplier, further emphasizing our commitment to sustainability and environmental responsibility.

Supporting Young Adults With Learning Disabilities

This product is manufactured by Wildlife and Birdcare, a community interest company (not for profit) organisation, that teaches woodwork and other craft skills and on-the-job training and work development to young adults with autism and learning disabilities. They design, develop and build high-quality homes for garden guests including bug hotels, bird nesting boxes, hedgehog boxes, owl boxes, bats boxes, squirrel feeders and more. They are a UK-based community interest company comprising a skilled workforce and people with learning disabilities and autism.

Wooden products are built to order so please allow up to 2 weeks for delivery.

Pond Plants

Currently dispatching on Tuesdays and Thursdays only.

1. In the main season, orders placed by 11am on a working day are sent the next working day, excluding Friday (or the Thursday before Easter).
2. During low season we will amend the days orders are shipped. The dispatch days are normally:
• March - Twice weekly Tuesday and Thursday
• April to Mid-August - 4 days per week Monday to Thursday
• Mid-August and September - Twice weekly Tuesday and Thursday
• October to February - Once per week on Tuesday
3. Due to the volume of orders being handled, we are unlikely to be able to amend or cancel an order if it has already been picked and packaged. Once in this status, the order will be shipped and invoiced accordingly.
4. Our couriers will leave orders in a cool shaded area if there is no one at the address provided, or with a neighbour if possible.

Other Products

We aim to dispatch orders within 3 working days (Monday to Friday).

Some specialist products such as our larger insect houses, furniture and niche bird boxes are made to order and may have a lead time of 2-6 weeks.
