This Pine Marten den, designed by the Vincent Wildlife Trust, is perfect for both resting and breeding. It is lightweight, yet structurally sound, unlike other designs. The internal box is made entirely of timber, providing warmth and minimizing sound transfer to accommodate the martens' sensitivity to noise and thermal qualities.

The inspection and servicing of the interior can be easily performed by releasing the front wall through the removal of two bolts at its base, allowing it to slide down. This effectively preserves the integrity of the internal wooden den section, preventing any loss of nesting material during the inspection process.

The woodland green roof of this Pine Marten Box is made of recycled farm plastic, providing excellent rain protection and creating a desirable location for martens to leave scat (a helpful indicator for monitoring). The den is attached to a tree with wire or rope, held steady by vertical batons to prevent excessive swaying in windy conditions.
