The Allium senescens subsp. montanum is an absolutely stunning species of allium with bright pink cup-shaped flowers. This allium stays relatively small, only reaching 45cm at maximum height. The montanum does best when planted later in the year from September to December, the allium will then bloom in early summer around June time. The plant can reach a maximum height of 45cm when fully grown.

The Allium senescens subsp. montanum does best when planted about 10cm deep in well-drained, nutrient-rich soil in a sunny area of the garden. Alliums can also benefit from shelter on one side to protect the flowers from the wind.

Planting Time: September - December

Flowering Time: June

Max Height: 45cm
