Nerine 'Red Pimpernel' bulbs display a magnificent flower featuring thin stems and strappy foliage that come together in clusters of lily-shaped blooms, boasting a magnificent bright red hue.

Tenderness of these bulbs calls for specialized cultivation; ideal for greenhouses, or in warm climates of the UK they can be planted in dry soil, yet require relocation indoors in the cold months. Place bulbs with their necks exposed when planting.

Originating from South Africa, Nerine 'Red Pimpernel' thrives in arid soil with plenty of sun, ideally sheltered from strong winds. When planted in a more humid environment, this species will yield more foliage than blooms.
