The Hyacinth 'Royal Navy' bulbs produce fine dark blue coloured flowers. Each individual floret bears double flowers giving a rich fullness. Double hyacinths are rarer than single hyacinths and they are highly scented making them excellent for cut flowers.
The Royal Navy Hyacinth will flower in March/April and is suitable for planting in sunny and partially shaded locations and requires well drained soil. Hyacinths can be left in the ground over the winter time.
Some Hyacinth bulbs can cause skin irritations so it is recommended that gloves are worn when handling.
