Hedychium ellipticum bulbs, also known as Shaving Brush, produce a striking ornamental plant. The leaves are characterized by their lance shape and subtle undulations, while the stems provide support for the eye-catching flowers. Each flower boasts numerous long and slender creamy yellow petals that reveal spindly bright orange anthers, resembling the appearance of a spider. Additionally, this flower is known for its exceptionally strong fragrance.

Hedychium ellipticum is best suited for damp and nutrient-rich soil, and can thrive in full or partial sunlight. For ideal growth, place the plant in a sheltered area to shield it from strong winds and promote strong stems. It is highly recommended for naturalizing an area as it has a high tendency to spread.
