Galanthus nivalis has delicate white flowers with green accents that droop gracefully. This species of Galanthus, also known as Snowdrop, is a highly sought-after early bloomer in the Spring. When planted in large numbers, the flowers create a charming image of snowflakes resting on the foliage below.
Galanthus nivalis grows well in most soils, and likes shaded to semi-shaded areas. When clumps get too thick, they can be lifted and divided. For best results do this when the plant finishes flowering and the foliage has died down. Plant the bulbs 2-3″ deep and 1″ apart.
Planting Time: September - October
