Eucomis bicolour bulbs, also known as pineapple lilies, produce stunning plants. The rosette-shaped leaves are a beautiful green with a red-purple tinge. Stout stems support a spike of small, light green flowers edged with a slight maroon color. The spike features a leafy green top and gives the plant its common name of Pineapple due to its resemblance to the fruit.

Eucomis bicolour thrives in sun and requires moist, well-drained soil. Frost sensitivity can be an issue, but it can be easily remedied by using mulch or bringing the plant indoors if it is potted.
