The Allium 'Ostara' is a striking allium with intense umbels of purple-red flowers that extrude from the top of a tall flower spike. The Ostara produces its beautiful blooms in late spring through to summer. The allium does best when planted later in the year from September to December.

The Allium 'Ostara' does best when planted about 10cm deep in well-drained, nutrient-rich soil in a sunny area of the garden. This allium can also benefit from shelter on one side to help prevent the tall flower spikes from being blown over.
