The absolutely stunning Allium caeruleum, also commonly known as 'Blue Globe Onion'. This beautiful lilac allium has received the Award of Garden Merit from the RHS and it is easy to see why. The Allium caeruleum is a hardy plant that will look great in any garden. The plant does best when planted from September to December to achieve a maximum height of 60cm when it blooms around June or July.
The Blue Globe Onion should be planted 10cm deep into drained, nutrient-rich soil. The plant also benefits from shelter on one side to protect the flower spikes from the wind.
