The Tulip 'Mariette' bulbs produces deep satin rose blooms with the petals softening to a paler pink at the edges upon maturity. They typically have lengthy stems and maintain their beauty in outdoor conditions, making them ideal for bedding.
This is a Division 6 lily-flowering tulip, characterised by a single, lily-like flower which bloom in mid to late spring. Petals arch outwards and have a pointed apex.
The Mariette tulip flowers in May and will grow well in a wide variety of conditions, but will prefer fertile, well drained soil in a sunny location.
