Hypoaspis miles is a predatory mite that is known for hunting and eating a variety of soil-living pest insects, including sciarid flies (fungus gnats).

Hypoaspis, a MightyBug that prefers living in the soil, is applied to growing media around the base of plants. Hypoaspis moves through the top layer of soil hunting soil-living pests, such as the eggs and larvae of sciarid fly (fungus gnats), shorefly, and thrips pupae which have fallen to the soil to pupate. Invisible to the naked eye due to its tiny size, these little predatory mites are great at keeping down the population of flies in greenhouses, indoor potted plants and seedling trays.

One pack treats either 10, 25 or 50 square meters depending on pack size.

• 5,000 mites treat 25m sqm

MightyBug – Hypoaspis can be used year-round in protected (e.g. greenhouse, tunnels or cold frame) and indoor environments, where temperatures are at least 15°C.

This product is dispatched every Thursday (excluding public holidays). Order before Thursday for same-week dispatch. Orders received after Wednesday will be dispatched the following week.
