MightyBug Natural Aphid Killer contains predatory lacewing larvae (Chrysoperla carnea) which are responsible for hunting and eating aphids. As well as aphids, these useful insects will eat a lot of other pest insects that are unable to run or fly away from them, including mealybugs, scale, mites and whiteflies.

Commonly known as green lacewing because of the appearance of the wings on the adults, MightyBug Natural Aphid Killer contains stage 2 lacewing larvae, which is the life stage that hunts and eats the most garden pest insects. The generalist diet of lacewing larvae makes them an excellent addition to protecting the plants in your greenhouse, garden, cold frame or conservatory.

MightyBug – Chrysoperla contains these predatory insects mixed in with buckwheat husks. The material can either be sprinkled directly onto aphid-infested plants, or placed within distribution boxes located near to aphid-infested parts of the plant.

MightyBug – Chrysoperla should be applied at a rate of 10 per square meter.

Chrysoperla requires temperatures of 15°C to be active. For plants grown outdoors or in unheated greenhouses, usage between April and September is recommended. For indoor plants or heated greenhouses, it can be used year-round as long as temperatures are suitable.

This product is dispatched every Thursday (excluding public holidays). Order before Thursday for same-week dispatch. Orders received after Wednesday will be dispatched the following week.
