Despite its small size, Iris bucharica commands attention with its bold blooms, which emerge in mid-spring. The bright green leaves, which take a backseat, are long and pointed and may produce up to seven buds from a single bulb. The flowers sit atop the foliage and boast a striking colour combination of pale cream and lemon-yellow with darker markings, making it a true standout in any garden.

This Iris has been granted the Award for Garden Merit by the RHS.
