Hippeastrum 'Quito' bulbs produce a beautiful display. These bulbous plants have long stems supporting several large blooms with Cybister characteristics - thin petals that bend backwards, revealing curved stamens. They are deep scarlet with subtle green undertones.

Hippeastrum 'Quito' needs a fertile, moist soil with efficient drainage to cultivate optimal growth and flourishing. Partial sun exposure is best for proper development and vigor, with protection from windy conditions recommended.

Fertilize the Hippeastrum 'Quito' plant regularly with liquid fertilizer, except during the blooming season. Once flowering has ceased, apply fertilizer every 10 days. As autumn approaches, trim the foliage and let the plant enter its dormant state until it starts to grow again. Plant the bulb with half of it immersed in the soil and the other half exposed.
