Hermodactylus tuberosus, more commonly known as a Widow Iris or Snake's Head iris, produces beautiful blooms with vibrant green petals, accentuated by a deep, almost black hue at the tips. This stunning and unique flower is accompanied by slender leaves that often reach beyond the height of the plant's floral stalks.

Hermodactylus tuberosus prefers a moist and well-aerated soil in a sunny area. This plant is suitable for creating a grasslike environment and is known for its easy growth. Its faint, sweet fragrance is another attractive feature, which makes it suitable for both pots and cut flower arrangements.
