As a decorative dahlia, it is renowned for its large size and double petals, resulting in a full and fluffy appearance.

For best results, grow Dahlia 'Smokey' in a protected container in a warmer spot during the early months. After the last frost, move the plant to a sunny, well-drained area with wind protection. In colder weather, gently remove the bulbs and store in a frost-free area.
