The attractive Cypripedium parviflorum var pubescens, also referred to as lady's slipper, features eye-catching bulbs that yield a stunning plant. Its foliage exhibits impressively sized, fuzzy, fan-like leaves with ridges and a tall, slender stalk. The flower is easily identified by its prominent pouch and hooded petals, embellished with rich shades of brown at the top. The pouch itself is a striking, golden hue, often adorned with specks of red on the interior.

Cypripedium parviflorum var pubescens thrives in moist, well-drained soil and partial shade. To prevent frost damage during colder winters, it is recommended to add a layer of mulch for protection. This particular variety tends to produce clusters as it matures.
