The Arisaema flavum, also known as a Cobra Lily for its snake-like hood, is a strange little plant with a short flower stem adorned with a flower featuring a small yellow top and spathe hiding within. This unusual plant does best in shady areas with plenty of drainage and a healthy amount of leaf mould to encourage growth. Once they are established in your garden they require very little attention aside from needing a bit of protection for very severe frosts.
