The Agapanthus 'Doctor Brouwer' also known as an African Lily is an enchanting perennial flower with spectacular blue trumpet shaped-flowers supported by a sturdy green stem. Like other Agapanthus, this plant does best when planted from the end of March through to April with expected blooms from July to September where it will proceed to die back for the year. The Agapanthus 'Doctor Brouwer' does best when planted in well-drained soil in full sun. Shade should be avoided as it could result in unimpressive blooms. When planting, the bulbs do best when planted around 5cm deep.
