Small, upright, shrubby tree with attractive, feathery, dark reddish-purple leaves that turn bronze-green by late summer. In the autumn, the leaves turn a lovely bright orange and red. Small, inconspicuous purple flowers in spring may be followed by winged, purple fruits.
