Tulip 'Insulinde' bulbs produce pale yellow petals that develop feathered rose hues, then gradually transforming into a full-sized flower of creamy white featuring a violet flame.
Exceptionally rare, Rembrandt Tulips were first introduced in 1916 and remain among the few varieties still found in cultivation. These broken and bizzare tulips, initially sourced from HB, Holland, are seldom available on the market.
Insulinde is a Division 9 Rembrandt tulip, characterised by their multi-coloured, striped blooms.
This tulip flowers in April/May and will grow well in a wide variety of conditions, but will prefer fertile, well drained soil in a sunny location.
