It reaches up to 40 centimetres in height, producing slender, grass-like leaves of grey-green that taper to fine points. The foliage grows upright from a narrow base, giving the plant a neat, vertical shape. During spring and summer, striking red bracts rise from the centre and hold small, tubular purple flowers. This vivid display contrasts beautifully with the silvery-green leaves, creating a sculptural accent in any indoor collection or terrarium.

Growing Conditions

Tillandsia juncifolia thrives without soil, taking in moisture and nutrients through its leaves. It grows best in bright, indirect light and requires good air circulation.
