The Narcissus bulbocdium var conspicuus daffodil bulb produces a short stemmed plant. On top of the stout stems are miniature, golden, bell-shaped flowers, The out petals of this flower are very small, often twist and hard to see, this allows the large middle cup to stand out.
This flower can do well in most soils, but will usually prefer a slightly acidic, moist, well drained soil for the best growth. They are a very hardy bulb and will naturalise an area easily, creating clumps of bright yellow flowers to brighten up your garden during the springtime.
Narcissus bulbocdium var conspicuus is a Division 13 daffodil, which are wild species and variants, found in natural daffodils. This flower also bears a resemblance to Division 10 daffodils with its large, petticoat-like inner section.
