Hippeastrum 'Lemon Star' bulbs produce a magnificent plant boasting sturdy stems that support substantial blooms. The petals of these blossoms exhibit an eye-catching mixture of light yellow and white, which depending on the illumination imparts a yellow-green hue - hence the name, Lemon Star.

Hippeastrum 'Lemon Star', commonly known as Amaryllis, grows best in soil that is full of essential nutrients, moisture, and with ample drainage. Positioning these plants in direct sunlight with protection from strong winds will help promote blooming. When planting, ensure the top half of the bulb remains above the soil.

Fertilize Hippeastrum 'Lemon Star' regularly with a liquid fertilizer, omitting applications when blooming. Once flowering ends, give feedings at 10-day intervals. Cut the leaves back annually in late fall and provide the plant with dormant time before its revival.
