Hippeastrum 'Santiago' bulbs thrive in a variety of conditions, producing a showy and impressive perennial. The vibrant red and white lines of the long-lasting flowers sit atop tall, strong stems, with a subtle green centre and throat to create an eye-catching contrast.

Hippeastrum 'Santiago' grows best when planted in well-draining, nutrient-rich soil in partial sunlight with shelter from wind.

Provide Hippeastrum 'Santiago' with regular liquid fertilization, except during blooming. Resume fertilization every 10 days once flowering has finished. Cut back foliage in the fall and allow the plant to enter its dormant period until growth resumes. Plant the bulb with half of it below the soil and the other half exposed.
