The Fritillaria uva-vulpis, commonly known as the Fox's Grape Fritillary, is a simple yet stunning plant with short grass-like stems supporting beautiful nodding flowers of purple with yellow tips. the Fox's Grape Fritillary is one of our smallest fritillaries reaching a diminutive 35cm when fully grown. This plant should be sowed later in the year from September to November for blooms from early to mid spring.
The Fritillaria uva-vulpis is quite easy to grow and does well in borders and raised beds. The bulbs should be planted in full sun to partial shade around 20cm deep.
