The Fritillaria persica also known as the Persian Lily is an enchanting species of fritillary with mesmerising purple-pink nodding flowers that grow out from a central stem. The Persian Lily does best when planted in late autumn from September to November, the plant will then bloom throughout Spring. This is a larger species of fritillary and can reach an impressive height of 90cm when fully grown.
The Fritillaria persica is quite easy to grow and does well in borders and raised beds. The bulbs should be planted in full sun to partial shade around 20cm deep.
