The Fritillaria imperialis 'William Rex' is one the most stunning fritillaries we have to offer. The William Rex has vibrant, brick-red flowers with off-white stamens that protrude out from the nodding flower heads. This stunning plant does best when planted later in the year from September to November and produces its magnificent blooms throughout spring. This plant, like most other species of Fritillaria imperialis gets quite tall, reaching 90cm when fully grown.
The Fritillaria imperialis 'William Rex' is quite easy to grow and does well in borders and raised beds. The bulbs should be planted in full sun to partial shade around 20cm deep.
