The Fritillaria acmopetala also known as Pointed-Petal Fritillary is a stunning plant with green and maroon nodding flowers that almost resemble a humbug. The Pointed-Petal Fritillary does best when planted later in the year from late autumn up to early winter. The plant will produce its beautiful flowers around spring time where it will reach a maximum height of 30cm. This breathtaking plant has also received the Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society.
The Fritillaria acmopetala does excellent in the front of flower beds or in pots and is one of the easiest Fritillaria to grow. The bulbs should be planted in full sun to partial shade around 20cm deep.
