Erythronium den canis bulbs can generate a mesmerizing plant, with stout, resilient stems and nodding blossoms. The petals of the flower curve back gracefully, usually accompanied by stamens emerging from the centre. This species comes in an assortment of colours, from creamy whites to soft pinks and lilacs.
Erythronium californicum 'White Beauty' is native to woodland areas and grows best in moist, well-drained soils, as well as locations with dappled sunlight and partial shade, such as under a tree or shrub. This species is especially hardy and can survive periods of drought, thriving in more humid soil conditions even when dormant. It is capable of naturalising an area with ease.
