Crocus serotinuss ssp.salzmannii produces an attractive flower. Featuring a pale lilac hue, the funnel-shaped bloom is sometimes highlighted with a golden throat and bright gold stamens. This species should be planted in September, and be allowed to rest before flowering the following year.
This species of Crocus is a highly resilient flower, able to thrive in a range of conditions. However, for optimal growth, it is suggested to plant in soil that provides adequate drainage and is kept slightly moist while receiving ample sunlight. It is an ideal option for naturalising, often rapidly spreading through grassy areas.
