'Margot Koster' is a climbing plant that can reach heights of 2-4m. It has green leaves and large flowers measuring 7-14cm in diameter. The flowers are made up of four or six sepals, which are usually twisted and deep rose-pink to red-purple in colour. The sepals have curved tips and edges, and the stamens have pale yellow or yellow-green anthers on lighter filaments. These beautiful flowers bloom from late summer to early autumn and are a favourite of bees for their pollen. Some clematis plants also produce nectar.
Clematis plants can be either deciduous or evergreen shrubs, herbaceous perennials, or climbers that use twining leaf stalks. Many varieties also produce striking flowers, while some feature fluffy seedheads in autumn.
To ensure the happiness of this plant, it is best to plant it in a location where its roots will remain cool and moist, ideally with some shade provided by lower-growing species. This plant prefers full sun and a well-drained soil.
