From mid-summer to late autumn, Clematis viticella 'Madame Julia Corevon' produces wine red star-shaped flowers, with yellow anthers which cover the plant. It is a more compact variety which makes it perfect for growing in a container. As with most clematis of the viticella group it also shows good resistance to clematis wilt.

Clematis plants can be either deciduous or evergreen shrubs, herbaceous perennials, or climbers that use twining leaf stalks. Many varieties also produce striking flowers, while some feature fluffy seedheads in autumn.

To ensure the happiness of this plant, it is best to plant it in a location where its roots will remain cool and moist, ideally with some shade provided by lower-growing species. This plant prefers full sun and a well-drained soil.

Height: This plant is usually between 75-90cm tall when it arrives but can reach 4M. 3L deep rose pots with 90cm cane. Prune code 3, hard prune.
