About Tulipa kolpakowskiana

Tulipa kolpakowskiana is a true botanical or species tulip rather than one of the large-flowered garden hybrids. It originates from Central Asia, where wild tulips grow in open, often rocky habitats with excellent drainage and plenty of sunshine.

Its naturally compact habit makes it particularly useful in smaller gardens. The flowers are held above low-growing foliage on slender stems, creating a delicate appearance quite different from taller bedding tulips.
