The Tulip 'Purissima' (also known as White Emperor) bulbs produce big, long-lasting snowy-white blooms. Each petal has a pale-gold base.
The White Emperor Purissima Tulip has been awarded the Award of Garden Merit (AGM) by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS).
The White Emperor Purissima flowers are a Division 13 tulip, characterised by having large, single, bowl-shaped flowers which bloom in mid spring. It is a reliable perennial and is often referred to as an 'Emperor' tulip.
The White Emperor Purissima Tulip flowers in April/May and will grow well in a wide variety of conditions, but will prefer fertile, well drained soil in a sunny or partially shaded location.
