Description
Tulip 'Dom Pedro' is an uncommon, older type of tulip, introduced in 1911. When grown in the appropriate conditions, the bulbs grow plants that can reach up to 70cm in height. Each stem carries a captivating, coffee-brown flower which features round petals delicately highlighted with a deep maroon hue. Dom Pedro will grow well in a wide variety of conditions, but will prefer a moist, well drained soil for optimal growth.
Nowadays, Dom Pedro is considered a type of single late tulip, characterized by a tall stem and single, cup-shaped bloom.
