Tulip 'Continental' produces an eye-catching plant. Its stems gradually transition from green to black at the top. The blossom is a deep, dark maroon purple, appearing black in certain lights. This tulip variety performs best with a moist, well-drained soil, but can adapt to other conditions for successful growth.

The 'Continental' tulip is a Group 3 triumph tulip, noted by the single , conical shaped flower.
