The Tulip 'Artist' embodies a unique bloom featuring a deep purple hue with salmon pink and green accents along the petal's interior. When the bulbs flowers first bloom the colours are very saturated and bright, fading to more dusky hues as the plant matures. The artist tulip will grow in any condition, but will grows its best in a moist, well drained soil in a sunny area of the garden.

The Artist flower is a group 8 Viridiflora tulip, these bloom later in the season and are known for having green marks and streaks on the petals.
