The Tulip 'Apeldoorn' bulb produces a stunning cherry red flower, guaranteed to stand out against the grey-green foliage of the plant. The flowers of this plant tend to be cone shaped, and will grow back year after year as they are very hardy. For best growth, plant the bulbs in moist, well drained soil in a sunny area of the garden.

Apeldoorn is a Division 4 tulip, these are characterised by large, goblet-like flowers on long stems. Darwin Hybrid tulips are mostly perennial, growing back year after year.
