The Spiranthes ochroleuca also known as 'ladies tresses' is a stunning plant with tall and intricate stems with small spikes of off-white flowers protruding from it.

Spiranthes are very hardy plants and can be planted before the last frosts, typically doing best when planted between March and May in partial shade. The Spiranthes blooms from late summer to early autumn and can reach a maximum height of 50cm when fully grown. These plants demand fertile soil so do well in humus-rich substrates that retain plenty of moisture.
