Ornithogalum umbellatum, also called 'Garden Star of Bethlehem', produces an extraordinary plant with its unique patterned green leaves with a silver center stripe and groups of small star-shaped white blossoms.

Ornithogalum umbellatum is a tough and hardy species that flourishes in higher, well-drained locations. To ensure optimal growth, plant it in an area with moist soil, and ideally a combination of sunny and partially shaded spots. It is also an attractive option for pollinators, since its nectar is rich and plentiful.
