Narcissus 'Accent' Bulbs

Narcissus 'Accent' is an elegant spring-flowering daffodil with crisp white petals surrounding a beautifully contrasting salmon-pink cup.

Flowering in April at around 35cm tall, this distinctive variety makes an excellent addition to borders, containers and naturalised spring planting.

  • Height: about 35cm
  • Spread: 10–15cm
  • Flower colour: white with a deep salmon-pink cup
  • Flowering time: April
  • Position: full sun or partial shade
  • Soil: fertile, well-drained soil

About Narcissus 'Accent'

Narcissus 'Accent' produces classic daffodil-shaped flowers with an attractive and unusual colour combination.

The broad perianth segments are clean white, providing a bright backdrop to the richly coloured central cup.

The cup develops beautiful salmon-pink tones, giving the flowers a softer appearance than traditional yellow daffodils.

At approximately 35cm tall, 'Accent' is compact enough for containers and the front or middle of borders while still creating plenty of spring impact.

Like other perennial daffodils, the bulbs can return and multiply over the years when grown in suitable conditions.

Benefits for UK Wildlife

Spring-flowering Narcissus can provide a useful early-season resource for garden wildlife.

  • Flowers can be visited by early bees and other pollinating insects
  • Provides spring colour alongside other pollinator-friendly bulbs
  • Suitable for naturalistic and wildlife-friendly planting schemes

Combine with crocuses, muscari and other spring bulbs to create a longer succession of flowers.

Where to Grow Narcissus 'Accent'

  • Spring garden borders
  • Patio containers
  • Cottage gardens
  • Naturalised planting
  • Under deciduous trees and shrubs

Plant in groups or drifts to make the most of the contrasting white and salmon-pink flowers.

Planting Tips

  • Plant bulbs in autumn.
  • Choose a sunny or partially shaded position.
  • Plant approximately 10–15cm deep.
  • Space bulbs around 10cm apart.
  • Water well after planting if conditions are dry.

After flowering, remove spent blooms but leave the foliage in place until it has naturally yellowed and died back. This allows the bulbs to replenish their energy for the following spring.

Why Grow Narcissus 'Accent'

  • Distinctive deep salmon-pink cup
  • Contrasting pure white petals
  • Flowers during April
  • Excellent for borders and containers
  • Perennial bulbs that can return year after year

If you are looking for something a little different from the traditional yellow daffodil, Narcissus 'Accent' combines elegant white petals with beautiful salmon-pink colouring for a refined spring display.
