This clematis, known as Clematis viticella 'Etoile Violette', blooms abundantly during late summer, showcasing deep purple petals with creamy-yellow centres. It creates a striking display when climbing through trees, shrubs, and roses. Withstands wind and is resistant to clematis wilt.
Clematis plants can be either deciduous or evergreen shrubs, herbaceous perennials, or climbers that use twining leaf stalks. Many varieties also produce striking flowers, while some feature fluffy seedheads in autumn.
