A compact, deciduous climber measuring 1.2m tall, adorned with dark to mid-green leaves during spring and autumn. Boasting large, pale, violet-blue star-shaped flowers with bright red anthers, this clematis blooms from early summer to early autumn. Ideal for containers, it can be planted alone or combined with another clematis for a striking contrast.

Clematis plants can be either deciduous or evergreen shrubs, herbaceous perennials, or climbers that use twining leaf stalks. Many varieties also produce striking flowers, while some feature fluffy seedheads in autumn.

To ensure the happiness of this plant, it is best to plant it in a location where its roots will remain cool and moist, ideally with some shade provided by lower-growing species. This plant prefers full sun and a well-drained soil.
