This stunning deciduous vine boasts exquisite, lantern-shaped blooms in shades of purple and mauve, appearing in the months of April and May. It adapts well to all types of growing conditions and is perfect for adding vertical interest to garden beds and borders or for training along a pergola or archway.

Clematis plants can be either deciduous or evergreen shrubs, herbaceous perennials, or climbers that use twining leaf-stalks. Many varieties also produce striking flowers, while some feature fluffy seedheads in autumn.

To ensure the happiness of this plant, it is best to plant it in a location where its roots will remain cool and moist, ideally with some shade provided by lower-growing species. This plant prefers full sun and a well-drained soil.
