This hardy and elegant clematis, known for its abundant and striking bell-shaped flowers in shades of light to mid mauvy-blue, comes in both single and double varieties, featuring a pristine white inner skirt. The prolific blooms of Clematis alpina 'Ocean Pearl' make it a popular choice, and even after the flowers fade, the attractive seed heads continue to add visual interest to its overall charming appearance.

Clematis plants can be either deciduous or evergreen shrubs, herbaceous perennials, or climbers that use twining leaf stalks. Many varieties also produce striking flowers, while some feature fluffy seedheads in autumn.

To ensure the happiness of this plant, it is best to plant it in a location where its roots will remain cool and moist, ideally with some shade provided by lower-growing species. This plant prefers full sun and a well-drained soil.
