The Allium 'Statos' or 'Stratos' is an enchanting allium with a large head full of dense umbels of deep purple flowers. The Statos prefers to be planted later in the year so should be sowed between September and December. The allium will then produce its brilliant purple blooms in June. This allium can reach an impressive 100cm when fully grown.
The Allium 'Statos' does best when planted about 10cm deep in well-drained, nutrient-rich soil in a sunny area of the garden. Taller alliums like this one can also benefit from shelter on one side to help prevent the tall flower spikes from being blown over.
