
Description
This Allium amethystinum 'Red Mohican' is a plant that really lives up to its name with its deep red flowers forming a tuft at the top of the bloom. The Red Mohican is best planted in September to December, the plant will then bloom a few months later around May to June. When fully mature the Allium amethystinum 'Red Mohican' can reach a respectable 90cm.
Does best when planted in drained fertile soil around 10 to 15cm deep. They prefer sunny areas with a sheltered side to prevent the tall flower spikes from being blown over.
