Iris ensata 'Variegata'

Iris ensata 'Variegata', also known as the Japanese Water Iris, is a clump-forming perennial for damp soils and pond edges. It offers strong foliage interest and rich summer colour.

The narrow grey-green leaves are striped with creamy-white. This gives structure even before the flowers appear. In summer, deep purple blooms with a reddish sheen rise above the foliage.
